As Canadians celebrate Canada Day today, some cigar smokers are doing so with a new limited edition, Canadian-exclusive smoke from Matilde Cigar Co., which is now available at retailers across the country.

It’s called the Matilde Exclusivo 2025, and it’s a 6 x 50 toro that uses an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper, a Dominican corojo 98 binder, and an all-Dominican filler that includes corojo 98, HVA and piloto cubano. It is made at TABACALERA LA iSLA and limited to 5,000 cigars, which are packaged in 20-count bundles. Pricing varies by province as each one has its own tax structure, but in Ontario, the cigar is priced at CAD $27, or about $19.05 in U.S. dollars.
